Hi, I’m Sam, a multimedia creator from Hong Kong.

I’ve also been involved in planning and supporting live sound for small to medium-sized music events.
My passion lies in blending creativity with music, visuals, and live interaction to tell meaningful stories.

我熱愛以創意連結音樂、影像與現場,打造有深度、有故事嘅作品。
In Project Sifu, I was responsible for filming and video editing, overseeing the planning and execution of martial arts sequences and narrative scenes. My role focused on capturing the intensity of the action while shaping the emotional rhythm in post-production to highlight the strength and stories of young participants. The project was led and directed by Dr. Wayne Wong, a scholar in East Asian Studies whose research specialises in the aesthetics, philosophy, and industry of global martial arts cinema, with numerous publications in leading journals. Soo Cole, serving as Co-Lead, is the founder and director of the Fighting Spirit Film Festival UK and an active martial arts performer with experience in film and stunt work.
Project Sifu combines martial arts training with cinematic storytelling to inspire young people in the UK, encouraging cultural heritage, physical and mental well-being, and addressing critical issues such as knife crime and violence. Through my contributions in cinematography and editing, I helped bring together visual storytelling and martial arts to deliver the project’s vision with impact and creativity.
I worked as an IT Technician at The Chinese University of Hong Kong for about four years, during which I also took on responsibilities in video production. In that period, my department was required to produce several documentaries each year to record and present the outcomes of various educational projects to the Education Bureau and our partner schools, including secondary schools, primary schools, and kindergartens.
My main responsibilities included:
Pre-production: Participating in discussions on filming requirements, planning the shooting process, and proposing technical solutions.
Post-production: Handling video editing, sound design, subtitles, and visual adjustments to ensure the final documentary clearly and effectively conveyed the project content.
Since the department often managed multiple projects simultaneously, we typically produced three to four documentaries annually. These completed works were showcased at the annual Dissemination Session, serving as a key part of the yearly project review and presentation.
YouTube Channel Experience – “ONETAKE 一鏡過”
I co-founded the YouTube channel “ONETAKE 一鏡過” in late 2016 and was one of the founding members. During my two years with the channel, I worked across multiple roles, including:
Filming: Operating cameras, planning shots, and camera movements.
Lighting: Designing and setting up on-site lighting.
Sound Recording: Handling on-set audio capture.
Acting: Performing in videos as required.
Editing: Managing post-production editing and assembling final videos.
Through this experience, I gained hands-on knowledge of the entire video production process, from pre-production to post-production.
